Since Dutchman Pieter Verbeek first set foot in Bordeaux more than 30 years ago as, he knew that he wanted to produce his own wine. Having purchased Château Clos Chaumont in the Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux in the early nineties with its excellent soil and south facing slopes he began transforming it into something extraordinary.

Today Clos Chaumont produces some of the best and highest quality wines of the appellation. All the wines carry a signature of Hubert de Boüard de Laforest, the co-owner of Château Angelus in Saint Emilion and one of Bordeaux most talented consultants, who has been the winemaking consultant and oenologist for several years.

Together with the efforts of Pieter Verbeek, Hubert de Boüard de Laforest and our close team at the château, we hope to have created wines that all wine lovers can enjoy and value.
